Chassis repair
We remove knocks and play so the car rides calmly at any speed
The chassis governs handling, comfort and your safety on the road. We remove knocks, play and vibration, restoring the car's stability and a short braking distance – with free diagnostics on a lift.
Why your car needs it

A worn chassis part loads neighbouring components – the repair can end up 2–3 times bigger.

Play and knocks speed up tyre wear – their life drops by 20–40%.

A faulty suspension lengthens the braking distance and reduces stability.

Translated from UkrainianGreat workshop. They found why my parking lights weren't working – simply oxidised contacts. Cleaned them and didn't even charge me. Recommend!
Translated from UkrainianHuge thanks to the guy who saved the day with the seat in my car, even though I turned up at the very end of the working day. I recommend this workshop for being human and professional!)))

Book now →The chassis is a broader concept: the suspension, the steering, the wheel hubs and the wheel mountings as a whole. The suspension is only the part of that system responsible for damping.
Most often the cause is in the steering – worn tie rods, tie rod ends, or misaligned geometry after hitting a curb or a pothole. We check both the steering and the suspension together, because the symptom is the same for both causes.
Usually it's wheel imbalance or wear in the steering components. Balancing is a quick and inexpensive check that we do first, before looking for a more complex cause.
It's dangerous – play affects steering precision, especially at speed or on a slippery road. We don't put off this repair even when the symptoms are minor.
We recommend every 15,000–20,000 km or before a long trip – hidden damage (for example, after hitting a pothole) isn't always felt right away behind the wheel.
Yes, uneven tire wear is a clue for the mechanic on where to start the check (wheel alignment, tie rods or suspension), which is why inspecting the tires is always the first step in chassis diagnostics.
Suspension and chassis repair at the RemZone workshop
The chassis is what makes a journey comfortable and safe. In good condition it lets the car ride easily, stay stable on the road and absorb bumps smoothly. When part of it wears out and needs repair, the car starts behaving unpredictably, which affects everything else: tyres wear faster, fuel consumption rises and gearbox problems can follow. All of this is avoided by timely suspension diagnostics and repair. The specialists at the RemZone workshop in Warsaw are ready to carry out chassis repairs of any complexity. Our technicians are highly experienced and work on both passenger cars and vans of every make and model.
What makes up the chassis and what fails most often?
The suspension takes heavy loads every day, which makes it one of the most vulnerable parts of a car. It comprises the wheels mounted on the axles that provide grip, the suspension itself – the element that absorbs impacts and vibration and connects the wheels to the body – the braking and steering systems, and the dampers. When everything is in order, the car handles well and the other components last a long time.
This assembly needs regular servicing, because comfort while driving and the safety of everyone on the road depend on it. If you feel the suspension needs work, head to the nearest service station for diagnostics straight away. In our workshop's experience, these parts most often need repair or replacement:
- Dampers and bushes – parts that wear frequently; when they fail you notice vibration while driving and reduced control.
- Springs – failure here usually leads to rapid tyre wear and a poorer ride.
- Bearings, responsible for the wheels turning freely. When worn, they produce unusual noises and vibration on the move.
- Track rods and ends. Their wear disturbs the wheel geometry.
- The braking system. When it fails the car becomes uncontrollable, which can lead to an accident.
The repair should be carried out by professional technicians with experience of this work and access to specialised equipment. All of that is available at the RemZone service station in Warsaw.
What does the repair include?
Our workshop offers a wide range of diagnostic and repair services for the components responsible for a car's handling and stability. Among other things we carry out:
- Anti-roll bar link replacement – removing the worn links that connect the anti-roll bar to the suspension. This reduces body roll, particularly through tight corners, and improves grip.
- Bush replacement – the control arms are removed and the old bushes pressed out and new ones pressed in on a bench press. This reduces load on the suspension and keeps the car quiet on the move.
- Ball joint replacement – the wheel is removed, the joint disconnected from the control arm and hub carrier, a new part fitted and everything reassembled. Handling improves and uneven tyre wear is prevented.
- Top mount bearing replacement – the strut is removed, the spring compressed, the old bearing taken out and a new one fitted. This prevents further suspension damage and loss of wheel geometry.
- Front and rear damper replacement – we recommend replacing them in pairs; the job restores proper handling, grip and manoeuvrability.
- Control arm replacement – carried out where there are cracks, deformation or critical wear. It restores handling and even tyre wear.
- Spring replacement – usually done in pairs, to correct a sagging body, restore ground clearance and eliminate squeaks and knocking.
We also carry out wheel alignment on a 3D rig and eliminate squeaks, knocking and play. Every car is inspected first, and the suspension repair goes ahead only once the scope of work and the price have been agreed with the customer.
How do you know the chassis needs work?
The tyres will tell you. Heavy scuffing, wear on one side only or in the centre means the wheel geometry needs adjusting and possibly some parts replacing. Vibration at higher speeds usually calls for wheel balancing or new dampers. If the car pulls to one side while driving or slides in corners, the suspension needs checking and the steering and stability systems adjusting. Noise or knocking that was not there before can indicate worn dampers, steering problems or worn chassis components.
Even one of these signs means you should contact a workshop in Warsaw without delay. Poland has strict rules about driving a car with faults, so if there is a problem, the decision to visit a workshop should be made immediately.
