Pre-purchase car diagnostics
A pre-purchase check – your confidence before the deal
An independent pre-purchase inspection. We check every component visually and with a scanner, measure pressure and fluids, and give an honest verdict on condition and value.
Why your car needs it

Hidden faults after a purchase often need money within the first 1–2 months.

Diagnostics costs far less than repairs after a bad purchase.

Even one found defect can be a reason for the seller to lower the price.

An inspection helps you walk away from a dubious car before paying.

Translated from UkrainianGreat workshop. They found why my parking lights weren't working – simply oxidised contacts. Cleaned them and didn't even charge me. Recommend!
Translated from UkrainianHuge thanks to the guy who saved the day with the seat in my car, even though I turned up at the very end of the working day. I recommend this workshop for being human and professional!)))
Translated from UkrainianHad my car serviced in Warsaw: oil change, full diagnostics, and they quickly found a wiring fault – all in about half an hour. The mechanics explained everything clearly.

Book now →Hidden faults (play in the suspension, worn brakes, errors in the electronics) aren't always visible from the outside – an official diagnostic report gives the buyer confidence and speeds up the deal, and gives you an argument for a fair price.
Yes, we provide a detailed report with the results of checking every component – the buyer sees the car's real condition rather than the seller's word.
Usually 1–1.5 hours – a full inspection of the running gear, brakes, electronics and bodywork without dismantling any components.
Often positively – a transparent report removes the buyer's doubts and the "just in case" haggling, which usually lowers the price by more than the cost of the inspection itself.
Yes, we include a measurement of the paint coating thickness and a check for signs of hidden repair – it's important for both the seller and the buyer to know the car's true history.
Yes, buyers often order an independent check before purchasing a used car – we work with either party to the transaction.
Yes, an endoscope lets us inspect the cylinders, pistons and valves from the inside without dismantling the engine – this reveals wear or carbon deposits that no fault scanner and no external diagnostics will show. It's precisely this check that most often saves the buyer from a costly hidden problem the seller may not even have known about.
Pre-purchase car inspection at RemZone
Checking a car's technical condition before buying it is an important part of the deal, because by no means every fault is visible to the naked eye. A condition check is one of the services offered by our Warsaw workshop. It covers diagnostics of every component and assembly, carried out to identify faults and establish how worn the parts are – which can significantly affect the final price of the car. It also gives both seller and buyer the assurance that both sides' interests have been taken into account.
Valuing a used car on your own can be quite difficult, so it is important to turn to specialists – for example, our service station in Poland.
When is a pre-purchase inspection needed?
Customers usually come to our Warsaw workshop to have a car's technical condition checked when buying, selling or renting out a vehicle, when inheriting one and needing to establish the tax due, after a road accident to determine the repair cost and the compensation amount, or when arranging a loan secured against the vehicle.
Stages of the pre-purchase inspection
A pre-purchase inspection at our workshop covers:
- A visual inspection. The car is checked for scratches, dents in the bodywork, cracked glass, tread and tyre wear, buckled wheels and the condition of the trim.
- A history check, covering mileage verification, accident involvement, outstanding finance, theft and legal seizure.
- Engine and transmission diagnostics. Noise, vibration, operating temperature, oil and fluids are checked. The gearbox is tested and the ECU scanned for fault codes.
- A suspension and steering check. Dampers, springs and control arms are inspected, play and knocking on the move are identified, and braking efficiency is assessed.
- An assessment of the electrical and electronic systems (headlights, indicators, brake lights, windows, audio, air conditioning and dashboard sensors).
- A test drive and a written report of the faults found.
A pre-purchase inspection can cover more than 100 criteria, though the list is tailored to each case. The finest details influence the final price, from the condition of the bodywork to the internal assemblies. Our assessors look first at the make, model, year and manufacturer, then at the condition of the body, the engine's specification, the type of gearbox and its wear, the chassis and whether original parts are fitted. Not sure what your car is worth? Come to the RemZone workshop in Warsaw and we will help you establish its real value.
